Stewart Park Festival
Details for Marketplace Vendors – Please read carefully
We are counting weeks to the opening of the 2022 Stewart Park Festival! This year, we welcome 36
Marketplace vendors and 8 community groups to help us celebrate!
As you make preparations for the Festival, I want to remind you of a few details which I believe will make the
Marketplace run safely and smoothly.
1. Registration
All vendors are required to register with the Marketplace Coordinator before they can begin their set-up*. Registration will be in the “Dining Tent” (see #12 below!). At registration, you will receive your booth placement, parking pass, vendor ID tag and other important information.
2. Marketplace Hours of Operation
The Marketplace hours of operation are as follows.
Friday, July 15 Saturday, July 16 Sunday, July 17
3. Inclement Weather
12:00 pm – 9:00 pm*
10:00 am – 9:00 pm* *or 30 minutes after the last performance on the
10:00 am – 5:00 pm* Main Stage
From time to time, the park may experience inclement weather which is often accompanied by high winds. All vendors are reminded to be prepared for rain and winds. Most booth spaces are on the pavement; so I encourage you to have sandbags or something similar to secure your tent poles.
4. Vehicles in Marketplace
No vehicles (emergency vehicles accepted) are permitted in the Marketplace during
hours of operation
. As the Marketplace is a tight area, we ask all vendors to be aware of
moving vehicles during set-up and tear-down times.
5. Security
Security will be on-site from 9:00 pm to 9:00 am Friday and Saturday. While the Stewart Park Festival will do the best it can to secure the site, it is in your best interest not to leave the product overnight. The Festival is not responsible for any loss or damage.
6. Parking
Free parking is provided to vendors of the Festival. The location will be announced in a separate email, along with any details.
Handicapped parking spaces are extremely limited near the site.
The parking pass is visible on your dash at all times. One pass per vendor.
Please note: this
area is for parking only; RV or any other camping is not permitted in this parking lot.
7. Keep it Green!
The sale of bottled water is strongly discouraged at the 2022 Stewart Park Festival
.
Refillable water containers will be for sale at the Information-Souvenir tent. Free water refill
stations will be available on site.
A reminder to all vendors to use recyclable and/or
compostable containers for your product.
Appropriate refuse containers will be provided on-
site.
8. No Dogs/No Smoking
Stewart Park Festival
As per the Town of Perth by-law, there are to be no dogs in the park during the Festival. Also, there is no smoking allowed in the food vending or dining area. Anyone caught smoking will be asked to extinguish or relocate.
9. The Dining Tent
The Festival is once again providing a covered picnic area behind Town Hall for patrons to enjoy a refreshing beverage, a sweet treat, or a delicious meal from one of our fabulous food vendors. Our intention is that Festival-goers will flow in and out of this area and, hopefully, increase interest in the Marketplace as a whole.
10. Slot Assignment
Placement of vendors on site will be determined solely at the discretion of the Market Coordinator. Please keep in mind that this is an outdoor site and be prepared for uneven ground, slopes, trees, wet grounds, and pavement in some cases. The Festival sometimes experiences strong winds, so be sure your canopy is weighted down. If you indicate any restrictions imposed by your booth design, an attempt will be made to accommodate your request. The Stewart Park Festival does not guarantee returning vendors will have the same site as in previous years. A map of the Festival Marketplace and its vendors will be available to Festival goers.
On behalf of the Stewart Park festival organizing committee, please accept my thanks for all that your organization does for our community and especially for all you do, personally, as a volunteer! We at the Festival would not be able to do what we do without volunteers
It has been a pleasure to communicate with you through email. I can’t wait to meet you all in person! If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
See you in the Park!
Cheers,
Matt McShane
